Weekend Recap / Visit to the ER

This weekend started out a rainy one but a fun one and then ended in pretty much the scariest night of my life...

Friday night we went to the cheapy movies to see World War Z. I didn't think I would like it but it definitely intrigued me and ended up loving it! Pretty creepy concept though! I'm also not usually a huge fan of Brad Pitt but he was pretty great in this movie. Oh, and the popcorn sucked this time! Boooo!!

Saturday we cleaned and lounged around the house all day until it was time to go out with some friends/coworkers on a dinner cruise that was not at all up to par! $52 a person and I swear I felt like I was at Golden Corral! Actually, Golden Corral would have been much better than this!We did get a nice picture of the group for $10! Look at Daniel cheesin! Makes me laugh every time! He is so handsome though!!
I swear I curled my hair! Dang Florida humidity!

Sunday I woke up and immediately felt like poop and had this horrible feeling that something was wrong with the little one so we skipped Church. (hindsight, we should have went, I know I would have felt a bit better) We stayed in bed, rested and watched a few movies. Eventually I started going stir crazy and decided we needed to get out of the house and head to Sams for some much needed nourishment! We ended up having a little cook out with my little brother and his family for dinner.

Maddox (my nephew) decided to play the drums with the dishes we have set out to donate so we decided to get a video for Memaw! I love this little boy so much! He is something else!

After everyone said their goodbyes we cleaned up the kitchen and sat down to relax before bed, I of course needed to make a pit stop to the restroom and here starts the scariest night of my life...

I had started to spot and here commenced the basket case Candice! It was very very light but still, I had this horrible feeling all day that something was wrong, I had not felt any movement all day, and then this was just the straw that broke the camels back.. We called my mom, a friend whom is a nurse, and then the hospital as we headed to the ER.

After what felt like an eternity they got us in a room, took a ton of blood, urine sample, and started me on an IV for fluids. At this point I am still a basket case and my blood pressure was through the roof!! (168/98) FINALLY, they came in to check the baby's heartbeat, and it was a strong 150 bpm! Thank you GOD! The BP machine then immediately went off and my blood pressure had dropped significantly.(127/34)

About an hour or so later the Dr came back in to do a pelvic exam, which everything looked fine and she did not see any bleeding. Eventually, they came back with my blood work and decided that I needed to get a Rhogam shot because I was Rh Negative and there was a possibility my blood had mixed with the babies possibly causing some complications or even miscarriage. You can read more about this --> here

I am a little confused why this wasn't mentioned to me by my OB doctor when they took blood months ago. I will definitely be asking at my appointment next week. Needless to say everything is OK, as far as the hospital could tell. I seriously cannot wait until next Wednesday to see our little one on the big screen!

One last thing and then I will be done with today's novel! I just wanted to give kudos to Daniel and say  THANK YOU so much for staying strong for me and trying your very best to keep my mind off things (impossible babe, sorry!) during the ride to the hospital and during our lovely night stay in the hospital. I don't know what I would have done without you babe!
